...and we continue to count down...

One more day at work and then I am off until Jaydyn Elizabeth arrives into this wonderful world.  It appears that Jaydyn will be welcomed by grandparents from both sides of the family upon her arrival.

I have given each one of the grandparents the task to select the name that they wish for her to call them by...  Granny, Grandma, Mimi, etc.

What do your children call their grandparents??

  1. Naming grandparents... WHEW!!! I think that naming grandparents can be as taxing as naming the actual child. We decided to let our kids choose names for the grandparents. However, Carl's mom insists on being "Nana" which will be difficult later since his step-mom insists on being called "Nana" but pronounced more like "Non-uh." She's Mexican. Good grief, that's going to be tough later!! Olivia named my parents "Gram" (it used to be "Gam") and "Ah-me" because my dad refers to himself as "The Old Man." I think it's more fun to let the kids choose. That way each grandparent has their own VERY PERSONAL name, and often times it's just plain funny!! Just my little opinion. =0)
