July 2014

Lets prepare for the 4th of July.  It would only be appropriate to shop for decorations and accessories at JoAnn's in 4th of July attire.   GOD BLESS AMERICA!

 ---------------------------------------------------------------
While July was an adventurous month, we also had a long 2 non-adventurous weeks.... Over the past two years we have been struggling to get Jaydyns allergies and ear infections under control.  After 12 months of having tubes in her ears, they have finally come out but the ENT believes that she is still having problems (due to constant diagnosis of croup!).   After much consideration we decided to have her tonsils and adenoids removed.  While it was a tough decision, I believe that it is for the best for her future and hope that it gets the cough and runny nose under control.   So on June 28th, we went to Wolfson's Children's Hospital for the removal of both.  We were discharged after a day of being there and the long recovery was underway.  They said that the third day would be the worst and they were wrong.  It was two weeks of long days and sleepless nights.  I now know that the adenoids are close to the ears and there is pain when the nerves reconnect to the ear areas.  She didn't complain about her throat at all she just cried constantly and pulled on her ears.  By day 14, I was a confused/frustrated mommy bear and hoped that I had made the right decision, but it was like a light switch.... She was fine and was back to her normal self.   Whew!  I hope that it stays that way.

Poor baby girl had no idea that she was about to have surgery.
Post surgery cuddles.

June 2014

June-  It is hard to believe that it is already June 2014.   The month of June was been jam packed full of craziness, travel, and some good 'ol family fun.

Still trying to perfect the wrangling of Jaydyn's crazy hair, but I think I am getting closer everyday.

In early June, we traveled to Georgia to spend time with Chads parents and his grandmother.  Spent a few days in Lizella and then spent a few days in downtown Atlanta.   Jaydyn had a blast every day and nothing short of being a sweetie...

Someone travels very well as long as she is in her PJ's.  Her quirkiness makes for fun traveling.  You never know exactly what is about to come out of her mouth.

Making sure that wearing proper ear protection is a must.  Nothing like a good little trooper.
Grandma made sure that she had the kiddy pool clean and set up for Jaydyn.  Hey a pseudo water slide will make any 2 yr old happy.   They had a blast playing and splashing around for the day!
The next day was jam packed full of fun in Atlanta, Georgia.   We first started the morning out by going to the Georgia Aquarium.   Now anyone how know Chad, knows that this guy likes to fish.  Unfortunately, this wasn't the place to fish but dream of one day catching the BIG ONE.

The next place we stopped was at the World of Coca-Cola.  I am not really sure what we expected to see there, but the coolest part was meeting the Coca-Cola bear and then tasting the flavors of Coca-Cola from around the world.  While I am not a fan of Jaydyn drinking carbonated sodas, this time I splurged and let her have fun.  Needless to say, she loved the soft drinks.

Wow day was jam packed full of fun and the little one was worn out quickly.  We grabbed a bite to eat, went back to the hotel and called it a night.  We had another big day planned for the following morning.  Little did J-bird know.... We were going to the Atlanta Zoo (She LOVES animals)!!!

Daddy and mini-me looking at the giraffes
Who couldn't love this little grin?

Nothing like a water area at the zoo!  Didn't bring the bathing
suit but what we had works!  Nice way to cool off!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nothing again like a hot day in Florida.  We took Jaydyn to the base and let her have some fun playing on the new NAS playground.  A little heat wont get anyone down..

Where daddy goes, so does J!

...then it was time to leave.....
Someone is not happy that we are leaving the playground.  But as you can tell her face is bright red and it was time to get out of the heat!

Just with everything else, it took just a second for her to get over it. (A promise of ice cream always works)!!

On to the next month--> July here we come ready or not
