April 2014

The first week of April, I had to travel to Dallas, TX for business and Jaydyn stayed with Mimi (Connie).  This was my first night spending away from Jaydyn with someone else other than her daddy watching her.  When I got back into town, Mimi and J met me for dinner.  She loves cheese, so what could possibly go wrong in a Pizza/Italian Restaurant?  Nothing.  She was given some pizza dough and some Crayons, so she was happy as a lark! <April 1, 2014>

JAYDYN IS TURNING 2!!!

On Jaydyns actual 2nd birthday, I was fortunate enough to have the day off from work.  In celebration of her birthday, I was able to coordinate with Papa and Grandma for a lunch and birthday cake in Mandarin Park.
Grandpa Hendricks loves playing with Jaydyn.  Well honestly, it is the other way around.  She loves her some Papa!

Grandma and Grandpa (papa) surprised Jaydyn with her own birthday cake!!!

Mmmmmmm! Baby girl loved the cake. Unfortuntately (and I guess fortunately) the lady at Publix sold Grandma a chocolate cake.  The unfortunate side is that grandpa cant eat chocolate and the fortunate side is that Jaydyn loves chocolate.  We meet in a happy medium, Grandpa ate the icing and J ate the cake!!

April 3, 2014- Growing up I had a best-friend name Katie.  I just happened after many years of loosing track of each other that we found each other on Facebook.  Over the next two years, we communicated through FB IM and then I found out that I was expecting.  Two weeks later, she IM'd me saying that they were expecting too.  It just so happened that we both had girls and that they were 3-weeks apart.  Jaydyn and Molly are adorable together.  We had dinner at La Nopalera Mexican Restaurant and the girls get along great!

April 4, 2014-  Jaydyn's 1st visit to the beach.  Yes I know, I know, we live on a coastal city and I have never taken my daughter to the beach.  We took Jaydyn to Huguenot Park.  Since you can drive on the beach it made the trip there much easier.  She loved the water.

When we left the beach, I stripped her down and put her in a fresh pull-up and turned on the AC.  We were not even out of the park yet and the following pictures were taken.  This is within a matter of approx. 3 minutes apart (total).

April 7, 2014- Someone had the bright idea that her baby doll needed a bath.... (SMH!)

For those who don't know that my husband is in the U.S. Navy, he was sent away for a little while and was
able to return home just after Jaydyn's 2nd Birthday and just before her birthday party.  His flight arrived in Jacksonville at a totally different planned time, so I had Jaydyn in her pajamas waiting for her daddy in the airport terminal.  While I promise there were about 100 people waiting for the flight to arrive, couldn't help but capture this photo.  All of the other kids were yelling "daddy/mommy is here" and Jaydyn ran to the opposite window from all of the other kids (that's why it looks so empty).  NOTE: She was not left unattended.   WELCOME HOME DADDY, WE MISSED YOU!!!!!

With Jaydyn turning 2 we (as in "I") decided that it was time to select a theme for Jaydyns 2nd Birthday Party.  I decided to go with the Mini Mouse Theme (hot pink, black, and white).   With that in mind, I looked and pinned as much as possible through Pinterest....
This is what I came up with:

Hoping that the dress fits!

 Mini Mouse Cupcakes (Thanks Pinterest!)

Mini Mouse Rice Krispy Treats (Hot Pink of course!)

Amber and Justina were taking turns with the tired Birthday Girl!   She was tired, but refusing to fall asleep.

Thank you for everyone who was able to make it out for the celebration.

April 14, 2014- Jaydyn was moved up to the toddler class at daycare (2-year olds) and yes I had a crying moment :(.    Miss thang was so worn out from her first day in the new class, that there was no argument with going to sleep that night.

April 16, 2014- School Picture Day

The grin on this girls face is priceless.  You just know that she is goofing off!!

April 2014 was fun!   Many more fun months to come.......
